This is a grand old house that is best described as well lived in. Needs a bit of updating. The pool needs some attention. Not at all inviting. I don’t understand why they don’t just get an expert in to give it a thorough clean without doing it themselves.
The staff are wonderful.

Amazing farmhouse BnB with stunning views; stunning cape Dutch farm with a warm family feel. Linda and Christine make an amazing team with all the staff. Beautiful gardens and a superb 20m swimming pool. Rooms were exceptional with decent fridge, microwave and kitchenettes in most rooms. Lots of privacy wherever you are. Excellent WiFi which extends to the gardens and pool. Wonderful breakfasts with the beautiful backdrop of the mountains and gardens. Great location to explore Stellenbosch and beyond.
The property is on the top floor of a small building housing professional offices so it is amazingly quiet. It is the ONLY residential part of the building. Parking is exceptionally convenient and secure in the underground garage. The location is steps from Dorf Street, one of the most vibrant in Stellenbosch. The apartment is tastefully furnished and the kitchen well-outfitted. Although we were there in winter (August) it is very light given the expanse of windows.
Di is a wonderful hostess and gave us a warm welcome to Languedoc. The Garden room with a private patio looking out on the beautiful lush garden made our spring time visit even more lovely.
Languedoc is quickly accessible to central Stellenbosch and wine farms in the surrounding area. A great weekend getaway or longer stays since the units are self catering with a fully equipped kitchen and a braai place.
It is the perfect hotel in the city center with a Stellenbosch spirit. The hotel building's architectural style and garden are very beautiful. The staff is so kind and helped me with my trouble. You can reach any destination from the hotel. Don't worry about the famous South African electricity blackout because wifi works always and there is a big power bank and a flashlight in your room.
The breakfast was adequate. The location was fine, away from the town but close enough to shops and central Stellenbosch.
Grateful to have been allowed to use the venue for a photoshoot at no extra charge.
The grounds are very well kept and are beautiful.
Lots to do, pool, clean and large, and mini golf, braai and kitchen facilities if you want to just relax on the property.
We had an unbelievable stay at the Oude Werf hotel. The location is central and perfect for exploring Stellenbosch. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The hotel and staff are warm, welcoming and very accommodating. We Will definitely be back when we are in the area again! Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.
It was 10 minutes drive outside of Stellenbosch, but beautiful views. The unit had aircon and wifi, fully equipt kitchen and Nespresso with compostable pods, which we appreciated. The pool was also lovely, but you need to drive/walk the 700m to the hotel. Wood was supplied for braai and bonfire in large firepit bowls.
Charming, small and intimate hotel with lots of character in a perfect location in central Stellenbosch. It has a historical feel and the staff made us feel really at home. Walking distance to a myriad of coffee shops, restaurants and the lovely trail next to the Eerste Rivier. Great value for money.
The big plus of the spier hotel is that it is on their own wine farm. You can go on picnics, go to the restaurants, do wine tasting, go swimming, go to the spa, there is an abundance of activities to do. Plus the close proximity to stellenbosch adds to the list of todos.
The location is in a very nice and quite neighborhood but only 10 min walk to Church Street (Stellenbosch Center). The manor is very impressive with a very beautiful garden/pool area. The breakfast buffet plus the additional offers are great.
We loved staying at this hotel. It was luxurious and pristine. Very comfortable and close to town, a great central location in Stellenbosch. Hope to stay there again, excellent value for money. One of the best places I’ve stayed in a while.
Great location, just outside Stellenbosch. Beautiful luxurious unit, stunning interior. Lovely fireplace with sufficient wood. Fresh milk and water available in the fridge. Loved staying, will most definitively be back!
Beautiful boutique hotel in walking distance to all the amazing bars and restaurants in Stellenbosch. a real gem of a place. one of the best hotel showers ever, comfy bed and great breakfast with friendly staff.
There is a room with a big TV where we could watch the rugby. There is also a microwave and cutlery which is very convenient. Hotel is close to Stellenbosch and restaurants.
Nice farm with good facilities: the cottage we stayed at was fully equipped for self catering and quite spacious + it had a very nice garden and patio to enjoy
It is a historic building in the best location of. Stellenbosch. The hotel is great and the staff has managed to made my stay great. The place is super clean!!
De Zeven is a beautiful hotel! The views are incredible, rooms are large and comfortable, and the service was great. The complimentary breakfast was delicious!
